Dan C. is a
retired business executive just looking for something akin to his hobby to do
when it is too cold to be out taking photographs.
The lensboard on
the camera is the board with the hole in the center where you mount the
lens/shutter. This camera uses a 4x4 board and it is made in three pieces to
minimize warpage. Any slight warpage can result in light leak....a no
no! The end pieces of the board have grain orientation on the vertical
direction while the certer piece has grain orientation at right angles to the
ends.
Another method Dan has used is to
make the board in two pieces 1/2 thichness and laminate them 90 degrees.
The back of the board would show
the mounting hole and the counterbore for the mounting ring and a 1/4 inch
route to block light when mounted to the front standard of the camera.
